It’s nearly midsummer’s day (how did that happen already?) and I’m already gearing up to Artwave Festival later in the summer!
I love a local arts festival. Events, exhibitions, open studios - these things offer fun and inspiration in spades! I’m a relative newbie to Artwave - in 2017 I participated as a guest artist in a location right in the centre of Lewes, and then in 2018 I had the opportunity to open up here in the Let Fire Inspire workshop - so I grabbed it!
2019 sees a repeat of last year - I shall be throwing my doors open to visitors over three weekends in August - and you can watch me working at the torch flame, ask me questions about the captivating process of lampwork glass beadmaking, and browse beads and jewellery for sale from my new collections of recent work.
The Let Fire Inspire workshop (venue 27) will be opening from 11am to 5pm on:
Saturday 17th August & Sunday 18th August
Saturday 24th August & Sunday 25th August
Saturday 31st August & Sunday 1st September
NEW FOR 2019: Artwave mini-tasters!
Maybe during your visit you’ll find you’d like to have a go? No problem - while you’re here, you can book yourself on one of my mini-tasters! These are being held on Wednesdays during the three weeks of Artwave.
Pick a start time of 10am or 2pm on:
Wednesday 21st August
Wednesday 28th August
Wednesday 4th September
Numbers are limited to four people per mini-taster.
