CAOS not chaos!
Well I don’t know where the time goes, but I’m writing this post between my two autumn open studio weekends. The first weekend of Chiddingly Artists Open Studios went with a swing despite the sporadic torrential showers, with over sixty visitors to Let Fire Inspire alone over the two days!
Buy beautiful fabric and find out about dressmaking workshops at Dot-to-Dot Studio
Visit Jim Holden’s photography studio to view his work, find out about his printing services and browse a stunning range of artworks by mixed media and 3D artist Clare O’Neill, and painters Rebecca Magner and Veronica van Eijk. Watercolour painter Christa Hook will be doing on-the-spot portraits on Sunday afternoon - are you tempted?
At Keith Pettit’s workshop you can not only see Keith’s beautiful wood engravings and sculptural pieces, but also paintings and sculpture by Robert Nagel, ceramics by Yolande Beer and paintings by Rosemary Newton and Lesley Robertshaw.
And of course you’ll find me at my torch flame right here at the Let Fire Inspire workshop - where I guarantee a very warm welcome - it’s the perfect cosy spot for a chilly autumn day!
Not far from Village Works, in and around East Hoathly, Chiddingly and Whitesmith, you’ll find ten more artists in a total of seven more venues - there are plenty of artistic delights to entice you!
