Artwave in numbers
As you know I'm in the midst of Artwave Festival - 6 days down, 3 to go - and it's been fabulous! I've taken the day off today and I'm having some fun thinking about my Artwave experience so far in numbers...
The percentage (in days) of my Artwave participation that I have accomplished so far.
The percentage yet to go.
The greatest number of visitors per day so far - although arguably this figure is in stiff competition with the '30ish - lost count!' logged in my notebook from day 2!
The fewest number of visitors per day so far! Yes this looks lame - but this was a Friday rather than a weekend day, and the weather was absolutely abysmal! The advantage of course of having a quiet day during an open studio event is that I can (and did!) make the most of my working day - so I managed to make lots of beads! No workshop time is ever wasted in these parts!
Total number of visitors to the Let Fire Inspire workshop so far. I'm really pleased with this!
The number of pairs of my didymium goggles missing in action! The second Saturday was a very busy and very sunny day - and I think the goggles left the workshop on the nose of a visitor and demonstration spectator who had mistaken them for their sunglasses! I'm sure they'll be returned in due course.
The number of Uckfield Runners who visited the workshop yesterday shortly after finishing the local 5k road race, the 'Kings Head Canter', between our two local pubs! I'm a member of the club, and ran the race last year, but this year chose to be at work instead. And bless them, my running club mates came to watch - two of them, followed by a group of five.
To clarify - the five weren't any slower on the actual run, but had simply taken more time over their free pint at the finish than the other two!
