Let fire inspire

Captivated by the magic of working with glass, Rebecca Weddell creates beautiful and unique lampwork beads and offers a range of beadmaking courses.

Ta-daaaaah!

Clare and I had a great day at the torches on Saturday - having shown you in a previous post the list of ALL the beads she'd made, I felt I'd better report back with a picture of the beads themselves! And here they are! I'd meant to post these pictures when I actually took them, which was Monday - it's now Thursday....! Still, like many things in life - better late than never!

Clare's beads (in my right hand) and my demo beads (in my left hand) straight out of the kiln, still on their mandrels, after being kiln-annealed overnight for lasting strength.

Clare's finished beads strung on ribbon in the order in which she made them. It's lovely to be able to follow the journey from the simplest bead to the most complicated!
