Colours a go-go!
I had a great time in the workshop on Friday, when I had Liz and her sister Jo for an all-day session. Liz is already a glass enthusiast, making the most beautiful stained glass panels - indeed she turns her hand to many a creative pursuit - and has recently got set up with some lampworking kit.
And just look at their collections of beads! We worked our way from a simple one-colour bead through a progression of designs, and I'm really pleased for Liz and Jo for what they achieved!
As you can see they picked a whole spectrum of zingy vibrant colours for their beads. I kit out my students' workbenches with around 14 colours of glass to work with - and I make sure to say at the beginning of every course that the most difficult thing they are going to be doing is to commit to the colour they're going to use for each bead! It's true.....!
